COURSE DESCRIPTION

 

Systematic Theology I (THE 101): 3 credit hours, Professor: Michael Fletcher
The course will cover the doctrine of the Authority of Scripture, the doctrine of God, the Holy Trinity and the doctrine of Man.  The nature of Scripture, the essence of God, and the principles by which God relates to man will be taught and discussed in detail.

 

The Kingdom of God (THE 301) 3 credit hours, Professor: Michael Fletcher
A study of the teachings of Jesus on the essence and form of the Kingdom of God.

 

Campus Ministry (CLG 311) 3 credit hours, Professor: Shawn Withy-Allen
An examination of the issues, practices, worldviews and concerns of campus ministry, including popular culture and philosophic influences while gaining skill in communicating the Gospel in the campus context.

 

Cultural Anthropology (MIS 201) 3 credit hours, Professor: John Goble
A study of the basic principles of cultural anthropology and its missionary and theological implications.  It will provide a basis for the understanding of other peoples and their cultures to be able to live and work effectively among them.

 

Evangelism (CLG 310) 3 credit hours, Professor: Claire Harmer
An introduction to the place of evangelism in spreading the Gospel of Jesus Christ.  Both a study of the theology of evangelism and a survey of practical approaches will be presented.

 

Practicum  3 credit hours; Professor: Shawn Withy-Allen
Consists of actual ministry experience serving under existing Rush Campus Ministers at 3 different levels of campus ministry: jr. high, sr. high, and college.
